The Easter Post

Okay... here it is.  The Easter Post.

The weather really treated us right this weekend, sunny and breezy both Saturday and Sunday!  On Saturday we went to an Easter Egg-stravaganza with our neighbors.  It was great, not only did they have great egg hunts they had bounce houses and all sorts of outside games to entertain the littles.  Hutson was ruthless during the egg hunts, I taught him well, and we brought home some yummy goodies.

The egg hunt...

a little hydration for working so hard on finding eggs...

learning how to swing a golf club...

There was a very cool bubble machine that all the kids were enamored with...

Our lovely neighbor ladies...

Some of you may be asking about Wheeler, well he was there, he just spent the whole time sleeping in his stroller.

I loved the color on this tree...

On Sunday we went to church and then on to the Ranch to enjoy the day with my family.  We had our own little egg hunt there which was so much fun with our cousins Lily and Evee.  We brought Hutson's Gator out there for him and Lily to play on.  They had a great time, and I was so impressed that Hutson let Lily drive it several times.  She figured out how to unlock it and put it in reverse, something Hutson has yet to do, thank goodness.

I love this picture, it looks like she is messing with a radio and he has both hands on the wheel, something I am sure that will not last...

hanging out with papa...

looking for eggs...

refereeing the egg hunt...

oh yes I did...

All in all it was a great weekend.  All the Easter yummies have either been eaten or thrown away and the Easter decor has been put away in the attic.  We have a relatively quiet week this week with Jerry home and no plans.  I have started looking at activities for the summer to keep the boys and I occupied and busy.

Hanging around the house

Jerry took last Thursday and Friday off which was very nice.  We got some stuff done around the house, and of course Hutson was so excited to just tag along after daddy.  We put Hut to work in his gator and made him help unload the flowers from the truck to his gator and then drive them over to the garden for Jerry.

He took his job very seriously...

Meanwhile, Wheeler and I just hung out and enjoyed the nice weather...

After 'working' outside, we managed to make a few Easter goodies.  Hutson was very excited to help 'cutout' the cookies.  You could definitely tell the ones he cut out, there was little finger prints pushed down in the dough.  He also managed to get a few fists of dough in his mouth before we could stop him, he was very proud of himself.

the finished product...

-and this is what Wheeler was doing while we were baking, crawling all over the place looking for trouble.. he can now get up two stairs!

I'm Back....

Ok... I'm back to the internet.  I couldn't make it a week.  Actually I realized that I pretty much can't live without the internet... online banking/bill pay and all.  I also don't know what people did before mapquest, I wouldn't even know where to buy a 'real' map made of paper.  Flight reservations is something that I don't think I could do without the internet either... I mean I guess people just called and talked to someone, but to have it all in one place at your finger tips is amazing!  I guess what I am going to have to do is just put a little timer next to the computer and set limits for myself so that I can still get other stuff around the house done.

Some business...
1. Camera.  I have complete camera envy of my brothers new D90... I am pretty much hating him right now.  He was nice enough to let me play around with it on Easter and now I NEED one ASAP.  But I need to figure out how to pay for one, so I am open to suggestions, working Harry Hines is not an option.

2. Smugmug.  I have had a smugmug site for years but never seemed to keep it updated.  The last updated gallery on there was from November 2008.  The daunting task of uploading pictures between then and now was unbearable to think about, but, I did it!  There are like 10 new galleries on there.  A lot of the pictures in the galleries are unedited and not pretty, but I wanted to get them up there.  The pictures I put on the blog are usually the ones I like the best from these galleries.  So if your just dying for more photos check out our site...   www.teddi-jerry.smugmug.com   **you can also purchase prints directly from the site.
