no title today

No words come to mind for a title for the post today, my mind is drawing a blank.  I wasn't even going to post anything because nothing new has happened.  But I guess nothing new needs to happen on a daily basis for me to post.  I'm pretty sure most of you just want to see pictures of the little men anyway.

Today I do have one additional little man to add to the post-

Introducing... Mr. Will Spaulding!

Baby Will and his mama came over today for a little play date, and I was able to snap some cute photos of him.  He is about 6 weeks old and cute as a button.  It is amazing how fast time goes, Wheeler is 6 months old already, I can't believe that he was ever this little.

Speaking of Wheeler, 'weewee' as Hutson calls him, we went in for our 6 month checkup yesterday, and he is doing great.  He is 28 1/4 inches long and 19lbs and 5 oz.  He is right at the top of the charts for height and just a little above average for weight.  We have started crawling and we like to chew on everything!  We are on teeth watch now, I have a feeling it could be any day.

I love the drool coming out of his mouth!

We took a walk today, and Hutson pushed his truck the whole way bent over like this.

The rest of the day

Two posts in one day!  Crazy I know.  Here is how the rest of the day went...

We play and eat lunch at the same time-

I'm not sure why I take the time to cut sandwiches into shapes, he prefers them taken apart anyway-

We finally cut that mop of hair-
This is his GQ look, future George Clooney right here!

We play on the furniture and watch cartoons while mama makes dinner-

BATH TIME!  This is our favorite activity of the day-

We read lots of books tonight and managed to all three of us cuddle in the rocking chair.  We are very excited to have daddy home tomorrow.  We know he is going to be jet lagged and tired, but we are going to make him play with us anyway.

Morning Babies

I struggle with the mornings as I am sure many of you do.  I get it from my dad who is notorious for staying up till the wee hours of the morning and then not being able to function until at least noon.  Even when I do go to bed at a decent hour which I would say was before 11 pm, I still struggle with mornings, my boys do not.  I'm not sure when this started- but they enjoy waking up at 6 or 630 am and they want to play.  There is no waking up drowsy time, its straight from dead asleep to 100 mph.  They do both take a nap at about 10 am which helps ease through the day.

This morning in a span of about three hours- we pulled every dvd from the cabinet and threw them on the floor, we colored, we pulled out all of the tupperware and threw it all over the kitchen, we snuggled, we wrestled, we played, we got dressed, we ate breakfast, we spilled our yogurt all over the place, we changed our clothes again, we changed diapers, we emptied our cereal into the back of our truck, we watched sesame street, we danced, we checked our email and we talked with GrAndi, then we had to watch Grover and Cookie monster on mama's phone, and the computer.  After all that I finally coaxed someone into bed for his nap.  It is only 1030 am.  Hut should sleep for a couple of hours, then lunch.  Hopefully it will hit at least 55 degrees and maybe the sun will shine so we can walk to the park and play on the slide and the swings to burn some energy this afternoon.

Dinner Time

Today Jerry left for London.  He is a little nervous I think- this is his first trip overseas.  I wish I could have gone with him- I haven't traveled in what seems like forever, my last big trip was to Hawaii 2 1/2 years ago, and before that I can't even remember.  Anyway- we are missing him already.

When daddy is away we eat our dinner early, and take our baths early, all so that we can hop in our jammies and read books and snuggle for a long time before bedtime rolls around.  Hutson is very into books right now which makes me so happy.  I love to sit and read books to him and we point at all the pictures and discuss what we are looking at.  He loves any books that have farm animals, he can make quite a few animal noises such as: cow, horse, sheep, goat, chicken, rooster, pig, frog, owl, cat, dog, birds, and duck.

Snow Day 2

Winter Storm in Texas?

Sounds ridiculous right?  I didn't believe it either until I woke up yesterday morning to about 2 inches of snow on the ground.  It snowed for 24 hours straight in North Texas.  I woke up this morning to about 6-7 inches of snow on the ground.  Of course this winter weather has coincided with Hutson finally sleeping through the night without waking up, which means he has more energy than ever and we are stuck inside!  Okay so we could go outside and play, I mean my parents used to lock us outside in the winter to make us play.  (That is when we lived in MN and not TX too)  The problem is that we don't really have winter weather gear.  Yesterday Hutson borrowed our neighbors old boots that were about 4 sizes too big and they kept falling off- at one point he was walking in the snow barefoot!

The dogs aren't too sure about the white stuff

There will be no catapillar rides today

Our neighbor Lily and her cute little snowman

I know for those of you who live in the north you are thinking 'oh so what, they got a little snow', but this is more snow than Dallas has had since 1924.

Finally playing together

In the last couple of weeks they have really started to interact with each other.  It is so fun for me to watch as Hutson tries to share his fruit snacks with Wheeler (he doesn't share his 'nacks with anyone!), he tries to give him his bottle and tells him 'no no baby', and he brings him all the old 'baby' toys.  Wheeler just follows Hutson with his eyes, you can tell he just wants to play with his big brother.  It is so cute to watch them attempt to play together.

Hutson has been into trying to hold the baby.  So we sit on the floor and play quite a bit now, so 'Wee Wee' can play too.  He wants to hold him on his tummy just like mommy does.  Although I did panic when he tried to play airplane with Wheeler- he was trying to lift him up with his feet in the air,  aahhhh!

New tricks

Wheeler is learning new tricks every day.  He knows that if he keeps rolling from stomach to back and back to stomach that he can make it all the way across the floor.  He has learned to lay on his back and grab his feet- he looks like a dead little bug when he does that.  He loves to stick his tongue out and blow bubbles and just be an all around adorable little man.
