Happy Anniversary

Today is our 3 year anniversary.  I really can't believe that it has been 3 years already.  Since we have gotten married we have sold a house, lived in a rent house for 9 months (which was horrible and smelled like cat pee), lived with mom and dad for 2 months, all while building a house which we have now lived in for a year.  We have had Hutson and Wheeler is due any day now, (that might be wishful thinking).  I stopped working and Jerry has switched jobs a couple of times- it has been a busy 3 years.  Here is a picture from our wedding.  This particular picture is always taped to the edge of my screen- today I was playing with photoshop and came up with some different versions.

We love water!

The weather was pretty nice today- well for the middle of the summer in Texas.  Hutson and I went for a nice walk this morning.  Then on to our normal activities... play play play eat sleep play.  This evening while Jer was grilling dinner Hutson was helping to water the flowers-however not much water made it to the roses.

We like to fill up the dog bowls and then dump them on ourselves...

Love to spray water everywhere!

Maine Lobster

For Jerry Sr.'s birthday on Thursday Jerry overnighted him two fresh Maine Lobsters.  (Jerry Sr. grew up in Maine)  They basically pull them right out of the water and ship them and they can be across the country to Oregon in under 24 hours!  Donna took some pictures of their lobster feast... here they are.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Jerry

Hutson wanted to wish his Papa Jerry a Happy Birthday today!  We hope you enjoyed those Maine Lobsters last night, and wish we could have enjoyed them with you.

Here are a few pics of Hutson and his Papa.

Hot Hot Hot

It is way too hot outside.  Yesterday our car registered 105 degrees at about 430 pm.  Now I am not sure if that was right or not, but it sure felt like it.  It is pretty much too hot to do anything outside, but lay in the pool, but only in the afternoon when it is shaded.

Jerry has been home this week which is nice, Hutson loves to be with his daddy.  We pretty much have to trick him into thinking that Jerry has gone to the office so that he can actually get some work done without his little helper.

Baby #2 is about a month away, and I am so ready to be not pregnant, but not quite sure we are ready for another baby.  We did get a double stroller yesterday so at least I have that out of the way, but I haven't prepared the nursery or anything.  I mean come on, I am a total procrastinator, I know I am going to start contractions and realize nothing is done and start yelling at Jerry that we can't go to the hospital until everything is set up.  (I work best under pressure, thanks dad)  I guess I will either get it all done or I won't.

Here are a few pictures of the little man.  One from last night and one from this morning.  Wearing Daddy's hat to keep the sun out of his eyes...

He wasn't too excited about me taking pictures this morning during breakfast.

Happy Birthday to us!

So for those of you who share a birthday with a loved one you know how the day goes, nothing gets done.  Jerry and I share our birthday today as most of you know, which means neither of us wants to cook, clean or work.... So we are off to eat out tonight at Babe's Chicken Dinner house, mmmm fried chicken and yummy biscuits.  Probably with a stop for frozen custard on the way home, or maybe some peach cobbler at Babes, I haven't decided yet.  I figure I only have about 6 weeks left to eat how I want to eat and then it is back on the diet plan pretty much for the rest of my life, which is a bit depressing.  argh.

So to really celebrate our birthdays we took Hutson to Jump'n Land, it is an indoor play place with all sorts of inflatable slides and jump houses.  I clearly can't play in the slides and what not so I made Jerry get in there.  I think he got a second work out in today... hehe

Here are the pictures.  Hutson had a great time.

Here they are in the jump house, I think maybe Jerry is stuck here.

At the top of the slide....

Loving going down the slide by ourselves....

All tired out at the bottom..

GrAndi's 50th Birthday Dinner

Ok Ok, I know it has been awhile since I have posted anything new.  I could give you a list of excuses but I don't want to waste the space.  We had a great 4th of July weekend, we didn't do anything extravagant, we pretty much kept it low key.  We didn't even see any fireworks.  But on Sunday we did do a little surprise dinner for GrAndi's birthday (which was on 7/1).  I am pretty sure she knew all along we were going to surprise her, but at least she played along with it.  We went to a mediterranean place that is a bring your own wine kind of joint, which is nice.  I made a gluten-free, wheat-free chocolate cake with raspberries, it was delicious.  Here are a few pictures from dinner.  Enjoy!

Oh and for those of you wondering, I am oh so ready to have baby number 2.  It is way too hot here in Texas to be pregnant.  Due date is 8/22, and I am counting down the days.

Here is Lee, Lily, GrAndi and Hutson all playing...

Lily is such a doll, and looked so cute all dressed up, she even was sporting a bow in her hair.

Hutson was getting a little cranky as he had only had one nap during the day.

GG playing with Hutson and showing off his new shoes...
